Safer Recruitment

Every Local Safeguarding Children Board must have a strategic lead for safer recruitment; in Lambeth this is Carmel Howard (contact details below). This role is responsible for the implementation of safer recruitment standards across the partnership.
The LSCB has introduced strict vetting procedures for anyone who is employ yed to work either as a volunteer or paid member of staff with children and young people. Each agency that delivers services in Lambeth to children is required to be compliant with these standards. The vetting procedures can be found in the LSCB Safer Recruitment charter below.
